A collaboration with friends (photographer Kelsey McClellan and painter Kristin Texeira) consisting of a series of photos replicating the elemental shapes and soothing color palettes of Kristin’s abstract paintings. Working within the stay-in-place mandates of our respective states during Covid (Kristin in upstate New York, Kelsey in San Francisco, and myself in Columbus, Ohio), we collaborated remotely, responding to one another’s prompts and relying on items we already had in our possession. While coming at the project from different mediums, working in tandem ultimately allowed a painterly aesthetic and photographic eye to infuse each composition.
